Best stratocaster for alternative and grunge?
hi, I'm looking for a stratocaster with a bold heavy sound for alternative music and grunge. much like the smashing pumpkins. my price range is about £450. can someone help?
The Carvin DC127 is a great strat style guitar but with 24 frets, choice of pups, colors, hardware, headstock shapes, etc, etc, etc. Not only that but it doesn't have a crappy bolt on neck nor does it require string trees due to a tilt back head stock. This thing will sustain forever and a day. You can get them new below 900.00. Ebay for 500-600. They have a bunch of others as well such as the "Bolt", which is a strat killer for 669.99 that is also fully customizable.
