OK, if most of you are scared of armed students, how about "classroom marshals" trained, armed, anonymous?
Every school board should plan on having SOME kind of armed response capibility. Of course everyone shouldn't carry a gun. A trained few, surely. But even the cop didn't want to recall the fellow that stopped the school shooter with his personal firearm. Media never said what happened to him. Sadly CA has some harsh "right-to-carry" regs. I stopped a homelss man from robbing us at the ATM in San Diego (he had a big hunting knife) only because I was taking my broken Civil War Relic pistol to the repair shop and it was in a paper bag in the back seat. The ATM was out of cash. That crazy would have surely cut us unless I pulled out that useless but scary-looking pistol. (Told him my wife's card wouldn't work and turned to get mine.) He bolted when I produced the foot-long antique. I probably would have been arrested had I used it (even if I just hit him with it!) so we never reported it. Didn't want to be jailed for saving us. Every school should have an armed response program I think.
