To me the colors seem too matte. not.. 'alive'. i don't know how to say it exactly. but i've seen a lot of fanart and the colors are different. not so matte, shiny, idk exactly. what should I do? I'm still a noob at painting and drawing I need some advices. I made this one in sai. what should I do? I saw so many painting styles and I can't figure out how it's done.
What you are referring to is not matt but a sort of more 3-D effect with proper shadowing. Your colros are not matt but you NEED to work on the various shading to apply more dimension to your final product.
