How does one get started with glassblowing?

It's always fascinated me and I've seen it done a few times. I even got to go to Murano, Italy and see them make Murano-style glass! So cool.

I do it in my back yard and have a big web site with lots of data including some lists of some of the various schools and summer class operations. A number of colleges offer it, usually as part of a 3D art curriculum. UT Arlington, mentioned in another answer is running a very nice shop and program at this time (about 30 miles west of me) Most of the operations are strongly dependent on one person and if that person leaves the program may decline or disappear.
