anyways, yeah, it really bothers me because i think that everyone should play in their country, but having players in other countries is also good because it makes soccer so much more universal and in a way unifies everyone.
im fine with them playing in different clubs, it gives brasilians more success as well, and spreads the brasilian magic all over the world. but, when a player plays for a different country in the world cup, that bothers me ALOT.
because, the world cup is the time to represent your country, to see which country has the best team. if you play for another team, playing for another team is being a traitor.
that's why canada's team isn't so good. because all of the canadians that love soccer, grew up cheering for another country, their passion for the game was born in another country, so when they get older and play professionally, they go and play for a different country. we actually have had a lot of good players come out of canada, they just don't play for us. but im sure that brasil will never be like that, because anyone brasilian would be proud to wear the yellow and green jerseys.
