Stay away from Stauer. They have had several complaints filed against them. You can google Stauer fraud and complaints to see that they are not reliable.
Also JTV is NOT the best place for buying tanzanite ( or any gemstones ) I might add. Google JTV fraud and JTV complaints as well. There are a lot of problems with them switching gemstones and selling damaged jewelry as well.
A customer of mine had purchased a ring with several Tanzanite gemstones that had been badly damaged when they brought their ring in to me to be resized. They have also been involved with numerous lawsuits.
A good rule of thumb when buying any jewelry from online is to google the company for complaints against them. Your best bet is to find a reliable jeweler ( preferably with a GIA certification ) with a good reputation in your town for your jewelry purchases.
