If the stringing material is too tight the necklace will be rigid and this can make the design look angular instead of slightly rounded like a necklace should be.
Always be careful that you are not cutting wire close to the crimp end. Leaving an extra inch of wire is well and good to prevent the sterling silver necklaces from getting broken easily. Don’t forget to hold the necklace in the air to check for any slacks in the wiring material. If not you would be noticing that there would be too much of slack left when completed making the design sloppy. Sterling silver crimps have better holding capacity than base metal crimps.
