What is your opinion on women wearing decorative hairslides?

I have my hair cut into a graduated bob so basically the only thing different that I can do with it is sticking a couple of hairslides in to pin my fringe back.

I think they can look really pretty! I've seen girls with bobbed hair With slides with tiny flowers and that on them and they look really good! As long as its nothing too garish I don;t see the problem. The person that said that to you obviously has no styke or individuality! xx
