What makes them so different is that they were made using the plans from Western camera companies like Leica and Rollei ... and others, but with inferior materials because at the time they were not signatories to any of the copyright and patent conventions and did not have the same quality glass and alloy metals.
They are fun to use, but certainly were very inexpensive when made and while functional, they may have more value historically than as an actual camera
